CELEBRATION, FL., May 31, 2012-One of SPEED TV's most popular shows, Two Guys Garage, will take performance enthusiasts, race fans, and Do-it-Yourselfers where few ever go; behind the scenes of a top NASCAR engine builder as Two Guys host Kevin Byrd follows the #19 G-OIL Toyota Camry NASCAR Nationwide Series car through the post-race and engine teardown process.
"We invited the Two Guys cameras and host to be at the shop when the G-OIL car arrived from California Speedway and to follow our engine removal and tear down process for the first time," said Jeffrey Loch, President and Chief Marketing Officer for Green Earth Technologies, Inc. (G.E.T.) (OTC bulletin board: GETG.OB), and the G-OIL® brand.
At the 2012 NASCAR season opener in Daytona Beach, Florida, the G-OIL Toyota became the first car to compete in the NASCAR Nationwide Series using bio-based fully synthetic, biodegradable engine oil.
"Mark Smith, the President of PME and his TriStar team gave us full access to the process and we were very impressed with what we saw and what we learned," said Two Guys host Kevin Byrd. "Viewers will see what goes on in a NASCAR engine teardown and how the teams assess engine performance."
"We were happy to have Two Guys in our shop to see the steps and measures we take to assure performance and to see for themselves how G-OIL reduced our engine wear and maintained performance," said Smith. Smith is the owner of Pro Motor Engines (PME), a leading builder of race engines for all three NASCAR series, and owner of the TriStar Motorsports NASCAR Nationwide Series team, the leading independent team in the series.
The first airing of the episode is scheduled for Monday, June 4th at 10:00pm Eastern on SPEED Channel. Last year, G-OIL premiered on Two Guys Garage in their SEE IT MADE segment to rave reviews.
