Letter from the CEO (December)



To Our Valued Shareholders and Customers,
December was an important month for Green Earth Technologies. We established a number of initiatives and built some very positive relationships at a time when many industries were in a turbulent period and the overall economy was searching for solutions.
We announced getting our approval for JASO FD/ISO-L-EGD rating which is preferred for higher performance engines found in snowmobiles, dirt bikes and personal water craft. Obtaining JASO-FD/ISO-L-EGD also means that Green Earth Technologies’ 2-Cycle G-OIL now meets or exceeds all OEM warranty requirements. G-OIL is the “green” solution made from American-grown base oils with a no-smoke formula. It has also achieved API service category TC for all 2-Cycle air-cooled outdoor engines. Our 2-Cycle G-OIL is shipped in a variety of sizes, including the 2.6 oz. and 16 oz. sizes at The Home Depot, as well as other participating retailers. G-OIL is the first animal fat bio-based oil to achieve the highest global industry standards.  I commend our company’s terrific team of engineers and scientists for their dedication in meeting and exceeding this certification.
We also announced a five-year worldwide distribution deal with Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd. (“TTI”) for “G”-branded products beginning in January 2009. TTI, the producer of Ryobi and Homelite hand-held gas and electric powered outdoor equipment, including grass and weed trimmers, blowers, chain saws and hedge trimmers has agreed to distribute GET products throughout their current global distribution network. This deal encompasses over 20 GET products, including all G-OIL™ 2-Cycle, 4-Cycle, bar & chain, and pump oils, with the rights to distribute the entire line, consisting of several new product launches for 2009. This support and distribution agreement will allow our company to move into new markets on a platform of massive scale for large mass retailers. It is important to note that amongst the TTI products, their brands include, among others, Milwaukee®, AEG®, Ryobi®, Stiletto®, Homelite®, Royal®, Dirt Devil®, Regina®, Vax® and Hoover®.
GET plans to begin working with the newly elected administration on developing environmental safe standards to help our country with pollution solutions. It is our opinion that some of the current regulatory initiatives should further expand into the bio-lubricant and environmentally safe cleaning materials areas. We will also be continuing to work with engine manufacturers on Green initiatives to help them meet and exceed the new EPA and DEP legislation activity surrounding emissions. In this effort, we have joined the National Wildlife Foundation and will support their efforts to educate companies and consumers on the importance of keeping our forests and waterways clean and green.
With the New Year upon us, 2009 will be our first full calendar year to begin to scale our G-branded products into major new channels with international distribution, large domestic retailers and bulk commercial buyers. No doubt, these are challenging times for our country, but our team is skilled, focused and committed to building GET into a well recognized and successful company. Our country needs innovation and dedication, and we are committed to doing just that. I was reminded over the holidays that quality brands outlast economic cycles and our G-Brand will do just that.
